On the morning of the 4th of December, 2022, the Institute for Invention Research and Technology Exploitation, Vietnam Invention Association, Department of Science and Technology Enterprise and Market Development, Invention Village and Innovative Enterprises coordinated to organize the IPSTAR 2022 Invention Star Honoring Ceremony within the framework of the national innovation festival – Techfest Vietnam 2022 taking place in Binh Duong province.
IPSTAR 2022 Invention Star Honoring Ceremony was held in Binh Duong on the morning of the 4th of December, 2022
The event was attended by Permanent Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung. Also attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Quoc Thang – Chairman of the Vietnam Invention Association; Mr. Pham Hong Quat – Director of the Department of Science and Technology Enterprise and Market Development, representative of the TECHFEST 2022 Organizing Committee; and representatives of the Organizing Committee of the IPSTAR 2022 Invention Star Honoring Program.
This year the program is organized with 2 main contents including: Honoring authors who create many useful inventions/solutions that are granted patents in the period 2016 – 2022 to honor individuals who have made contributions for the recent patent activities, while encouraging an increase in the number of patent applications by Vietnamese individuals and gradually building a sustainable patent foundation; and Honoring typical technological products from inventions to honor organizations and individuals with research, creativity, product development activities, and contributing to the economic development and rise of Vietnam.
After a period of launching the program, the Organizing Committee has received many quality applications for both categories mentioned above. According to the proposal of the Honor Council, the Organizing Committee decided to award the title of IPSTAR Invention Star to 18 individuals for the category of authors who have created many patented inventions and 10 typical technology products from the invention and awarded a single title for excellent technological product from the invention.
In the category Authors created many useful inventions/solutions that were granted patents in the period 2016 – 2022. Inventor Luu Hai Minh – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nhat Hai New Technology Joint Stock Company – OIC NEW was awarded Honored in the Top 5 of the program. This is a result completely worthy of the effort and intelligence that Inventor Luu Hai Minh has diligently researched and learned to create truly useful inventions for society.
The IPSTAR Invention Star title is gradually becoming a place to recognize the contributions of Inventors to invention development activities in Vietnam. Hopefully, in 2023, more individuals and organizations will participate so this title can become the pride and honor of the Inventors.
